John Tamargo Jr
In 1994, John played for Team USA in the Baseball World Cup. In 1996 he was selected in the 21st round of the 1996 MLB amateur draft by the New York Mets after playing his collegiate baseball at the University of Florida. John played seven years as a second baseman, third baseman and shortstop with the New York Mets organization. In 2004, he began coaching for the Salem Avalanche in 2004, Corpus Christi Hooks from 2005-2008 and Traverse City Beach Bums in 2009. From 2010-2011, John was the hitting coach for the Lansing Lugnuts before being named by the Toronto Blue Jays organization as the manager of the team in 2012.
